PROMIS is pleased to announce support for the ArchiMate® notation and meta model in EVA and Graphical Modeler. Graham McLeod, Chief Architect says: ArchiMate® is gaining acceptance as a standard way of representing and communicating Enterprise Architecture information. This has been accelerated by the growing acceptance of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in organizations and the placement of ArchiMate® under the banner of the Open Group. It is expected that ArchiMate® will become an integral part of upcoming versions of TOGAF 9.

The flexibility of Enterprise Value Architect (EVA) and the Graphical Modeler allowed us to quickly and easily add the necessary meta model elements and define the notations required. We already have a major client adopting these – with their own extensions – to support the work of dozens of architects.

The ArchiMate® support is available as an optional Metaset which can be licensed for a nominal one time charge. It is easily imported into existing EVA installations. The notation can be used with a dedicated stand alone ArchiMate® meta model (typically in a 'green field' situation) or with existing Inspired/PROMIS frameworks.
