Practical TOGAF Training course
About TOGAF Certification
With the release of TOGAF 9 the Open Group have changed the requirements for becoming a certified TOGAF Architect.
With TOGAF 8 a certified training vendor (such as PROMIS) could confirm
successful completion of the TOGAF training and submit candidate
details to the Open Group so that they could issue certificate and
registration of the person as certified TOGAF 8 architect.
With the introduction of TOGAF 9 the Open Group has tightened the
certification conditions. To become TOGAF 9 certified the candidate has
to pass two examinations in a controlled environment at a Prometric test
center. The tests can be done in one or two sessions. After successful
completion of the first one a TOGAF Foundation certificate is issued and after the second the TOGAF 9 certificate.
Candidates who are already TOGAF 8 certified can do a single test (the Advanced Bridge TOGAF 8 to TOGAF 9 Exam) in the controlled environment at a Prometric test center to become TOGAF 9 Certified.
All tests in Prometric test center require a registration at the Open
Group and a payment of a test fee which is depending on the country in
which the test is conducted.
More information on prices and test center location can be found at Prometric Services.
